Brrrrr. The weather is more chilly today.

After another delicious egg-based breakfast we were off to Hagerstown for some retail therapy at the Outlet Mall - well I needed a winter coat.

We did get in a minor scrape before we'd even breakfasted as we parked in a local Mall ready for a speedy getaway after breakfast. Well breakfast would have been fine, however once parked we were actually trapped inside the Mall and couldn't get out. We ended up scampering up and down stairs in an effort to find the exit. Thankfully we did eventually escape for poached eggs and pancakes (how did that happen?)

So hopped in the car for the hour drive over to the outlet mall. However at a most crucial moment Darren's iPhone (which was being used for navigation purposes) over heated and shut down. Oh dear. We were literally 3 miles from our destination. However we did have a nice drive round Funkytown (well, actually Funktown - but a cool name none the less) before the phone had cooled down sufficiently to function and get us to our destination.

Plenty of shopping to be had. Got the most amazeballs bargain of a winter coat. Shan't say how much - but suffice to say it was a bargain even based on Darren's thrifty couponning habits.

Also managed to purchase some cords and an interestingly designed denim shirt off of the Levi store - I look like a fat Gap model. Well, it's a look...

Darren also managed some purchases too. Probably brought on by getting bored of standing around waiting for me to try things on.....

Anyhoo - replete with shopping we headed back. To do laundry.....well - that was the price of me bringing hardly any clothes....

Whilst clothes were a-spinning and a-sloshing we watched the Housewives of Atlanta. It is literally the funniest programme I've ever seen. Also saw another hilarious tv advert for health insurance. Well it's not actually supposed to be hilarious - and in fairness I think it's because I'm not used to US advertising - but it was teetering IMHO to bad taste. Lady wakes up with a cold....voiceover "Hilary felt unwell with her cold which brought on an asthma attack, so she went to NAME OF DOCTORS where they checked her out and found she'd got breast cancer" Obviously if real life an atrocious series of events - but MY voiceover was "that's a really shite day - woke up with a sniffle, went to bed with cancer". And there's another arthritis drug advert (again an awful condition, so no disrespect intended) and they list the possible side effects.....and I kinda wonder which is worse being unable to play golf (as in the advert) or experiencing the side effect of death, if taking the drug......Anyhow - on to lighter things....

After washing was complete it was dinner at Rays the Classics. We both had the crab chowder for starter (delicious) and for main I had steak salad. Which was done to a t. Absolutely delicious. All washed down with a couple of peach bellinis.....

Tomorrow is last day proper in Maryland, and the plan is (to wear new coat) and head to Union Station for brunch, then on to Bethesda (my fave place in this neck of the woods) for late lunch, then in to DC proper for dinner to Ben's Next Door, which is next door to Ben's where Mr Obama eats. Am practically in the First Family.

Anyhow - time for me to sign off for the evening by polishing off a soupçon of cheesecake left over from yesterday whilst Darren watches Dancing with the Stars. Hmmm - from what I can see they are a) not stars, and b) that's not dancing.
